Modified and specially developed converters

Including F-truck series (4R100), Dodge RAM (48RFE, 68RFE), Land Rover (TD5), Allison 1000 series, Ford Ranger and Territory (6R80), Toyota Land Cruisers and Nissan Patrols.

These units are designed to supersede manufacturers OEM specifications, allowing us to maximise vehicle output and maintain efficiency levels. Some of these modifications include:

  • Low stalling
  • Full fabricated billet covers to house multi clutch packs
  • Modification to boost clutch apply of torque converter

Accelerator Torque Converters

At TCT we provide Accelerator torque converters, quality aftermarket converters for a range of different applications. We can tailor performance converters to suit a wide range of applications, from street cars running a mild camshaft to full race vehicles using transmission brakes, nitrous oxide systems and other race modifications.

These units require specialised fabrication and customised components to suit high performance application

Specialty components used in the manufacture of our performance converters include:

  • Furnace brazing of impeller and turbine
  • Heavy duty needle roller bearings
  • Stall speed modifications
  • Hardened steel, welded in turbine hubs
  • Hardened steel pump drive hubs
  • Custom-made billet covers (street and strip, race performance units)
  • Anti-ballooning plates (street and strip, race performance units)
  • Mechanical diode one-way stator clutch assemblies (full race performance units)

Industrial Converters

Here at Torque Converter Technologies, we can provide industrial torque converters for a wide range of equipment, including:

  • Forklifts
  • Earthmoving equipment
  • Mining equipment
  • Agricultural equipment

Some hard parts for a variety of these units are not serviced. Replacement of splined turbine hubs, inner races, and one-way clutch stator assemblies often require fabrication, including spline cutting, heat treatment and grinding.
